Terms of Service

Use GGSight responsibly.

Last updated August 10, 2026. These terms are draft beta operating terms pending review by qualified legal counsel. They apply to your access to the GGSight website, downloads, desktop app, public lookup features, and related services. GGSight is not approved for broad public launch while that review remains incomplete.

1. What GGSight is

GGSight is a screen-only gamer-tag OCR and public-source lookup companion. It is intended to help users keep a lightweight encounter history and identify supported public creator or verified profile signals when those signals are lawfully available.

GGSight is not a legal identity verification service, private investigation tool, cheat, anti-cheat bypass, hidden data tool, gameplay automation tool, or guarantee that a gamer tag belongs to a specific person.

2. Beta status

The current desktop build is an MVP beta. OCR, public lookups, notifications, download packaging, platform support, supported games, and scan-zone presets may change, fail, or produce incorrect results.

You are responsible for testing the app before relying on it during gameplay. Do not use GGSight where incorrect detection, delayed notification, or missing notification could cause harm.

The download beta is available only to people who are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding agreement. Do not submit an email or download the beta if you do not meet those requirements.

3. Allowed use

You may use GGSight for personal screen-only gamer-tag detection, public profile lookup, creator discovery, repeat encounter history, local testing, and lawful research into your own visible gameplay sessions.

You may use console capture cards, OBS previews, PS Remote Play, Xbox Remote Play, or normal desktop capture only when the names are visible to you on screen and your use complies with applicable rules.

4. Prohibited use

You may not use GGSight to cheat, hack, harass, threaten, stalk, dox, shame, target, stream-snipe, evade privacy settings, bypass streamer mode, reveal hidden lobby data, automate gameplay, inspect game memory, sniff packets, interfere with anti-cheat systems, or violate any game, platform, tournament, league, creator-platform, or provider terms.

You may not use GGSight to build dossiers on players, infer private real-world identity, publish harmful accusations, sell player data, or use lookup results for employment, credit, housing, insurance, education, legal, safety, or other high-impact decisions.

The Stream Sniping Policy is incorporated into these terms. You must read and agree to it before downloading or using GGSight.

5. Stream sniping and live-match misuse

GGSight does not authorize stream sniping, live-match targeting, live stream opening for tactical advantage, creator harassment, player avoidance, matchmaking manipulation, hidden lobby discovery, or bypassing streamer-mode or anonymous-name settings.

You are solely responsible for your conduct during gameplay and for any stream, website, or third-party source you open after using GGSight. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GGSight is not liable for user misuse, platform penalties, account bans, tournament consequences, harassment, cheating, or disputes caused by a user's actions.

6. Public sources and provider rules

GGSight may use verified GGSight profiles, supported public APIs, public creator pages, public search results, and locally cached lookup results. Tracker Network is disabled in the current beta and is not part of supported source coverage. Provider availability, rate limits, rules, and data quality can change.

You may not use stolen API keys, bypass rate limits, scrape aggressively, access private endpoints, evade blocks, or use GGSight in a way that violates a third-party provider's terms.

Use of YouTube-powered features is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and by using those features you agree to be bound by those terms. Twitch, Kick, and TikTok features are also subject to their applicable platform and developer terms.

7. Accuracy, confidence, and corrections

OCR and public-source matching can be wrong. Similar gamer tags, styled fonts, platform aliases, OCR mistakes, impersonation, stale profiles, duplicate names, or missing public records may create false positives or false negatives.

Confidence scores are evidence labels, not identity guarantees. You must review results before acting on them. If a result is wrong, use the correction options such as Correct profile, Wrong profile, Unsure, or Never show this profile again when available.

8. User responsibility

You are responsible for how you configure scan zones, which screenshots or windows you scan, what data you save, whether you enable lookups, and how you use any result. You are also responsible for complying with all laws and all applicable game, platform, event, and provider rules.

9. Accounts and downloads

Local beta use does not require an account or payment. GGSight does not currently offer checkout, subscriptions, paid trials, or automatic renewals. Future optional cloud, sync, or verified-profile features may require account creation and additional terms.

You should download GGSight only from official GGSight links. Beta downloads may be unsigned or packaged as zip bundles while installer signing and update security are finalized. Review the Download Safety Center for published hashes, signing status, and reporting instructions before installing.

10. Intellectual property and no affiliation

GGSight and its logos, website, app, docs, and code are owned by their respective owners. Game names, platform names, publisher names, creator-platform names, and tracker names belong to their owners.

GGSight is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by, or officially connected to Epic Games, Activision, Microsoft, Sony, Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok, Tracker Network, or any listed game, publisher, platform, creator, or statistics provider unless a written agreement says otherwise.

11. Privacy

Your use of GGSight is also governed by the Privacy Policy. The desktop app is designed to be local-first, but lookup, account, support, update, or future cloud features may send limited data as described in that policy.

12. No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GGSight is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, compatibility, and error-free operation.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GGSight and its owners, operators, contributors, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data, account access, reputation, goodwill, gameplay opportunity, competitive result, business, or revenue arising from or related to GGSight.

Where liability cannot be excluded, liability is limited to USD $100 unless applicable law requires a different amount or remedy.

14. Indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GGSight and its owners, operators, contributors, service providers, and affiliates from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of GGSight, your violation of these terms, your violation of law or third-party rules, your content or screenshots, or your use of lookup results.

15. Suspension and termination

GGSight may suspend, limit, or terminate access to hosted services, lookup features, verified profile features, downloads, or accounts if we believe a user is misusing the product, creating legal or safety risk, violating these terms, or harming other users, providers, creators, publishers, or platforms.

16. Changes and legal review

We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes require a new affirmative acceptance before a new download or continued use of affected hosted features. Non-material clarifications will be posted with a new updated date.

The operator's final legal entity name, business service address, governing law, dispute process, consumer-right exceptions, and any arbitration or class-action provisions must be finalized by qualified legal counsel before broader public launch. Nothing in these draft terms waives rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
