1. Local desktop storage
The GGSight desktop MVP stores settings, scan zones, players, encounters, matches, user labels, corrections, lookup cache, and app preferences in a local SQLite database on your computer.
Local records may include gamer tags visible on your screen, game names, scan-zone names, dates detected, OCR confidence, verification result, and confidence score. You control whether to keep or delete this local history.
2. What GGSight does not collect by design
GGSight is not designed to collect real names, home addresses, phone numbers, private messages, private account credentials, hidden lobby data, game memory, packet data, gameplay input, controller input, payment card numbers, or anti-cheat data.
GGSight only analyzes screen pixels that are visible to you in the region you choose to scan.
3. Optional public lookup data
If public lookups are enabled and a backend or provider is configured, GGSight may send the detected gamer tag, selected game, platform if provided, app version, and limited request metadata needed to return public-source results.
The verification service is designed to use configured official Twitch, YouTube, and Kick provider APIs. Provider credentials stay on the server and are never included in the desktop app, browser, crash report, or support export. A returned result may include a public profile URL, matched handle, source name, confidence, evidence summary, cache timestamp, and error status.
GGSight uses YouTube API Services. YouTube data and features are governed by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Twitch, Kick, and TikTok data and features are governed by their own terms and privacy notices. GGSight does not ask users to authorize a personal YouTube account in the current beta.
A generated search or creator-handle candidate is a review aid, not a verified association. GGSight should not claim a verified identity or make that candidate a clickable live-match profile link without provider evidence.
If you enable Discord alerts, the webhook URL is stored in the current Windows user's Credential Manager, masked in the interface, and excluded from settings files, diagnostics, and exports. The app sends the detected tag, confidence, evidence summary, and an optional Post-Match public profile link directly to the Discord webhook you provide. Live Mode omits the profile link, and Discord mention parsing is disabled.
4. Accounts and future cloud features
Local use does not require an account. If optional account, profile-claiming, cloud sync, backup, or verified-profile features are added, we may collect account email, login metadata, connected gamer tags, linked creator handles, support messages, and verification evidence you submit.
Any future cloud profile-claiming flow should request only the information needed to verify and maintain the claimed profile.
5. Website and download data
When you visit the website or download files, hosting and security systems may process basic technical data such as IP address, user agent, request time, requested URL, referrer, download status, and security logs.
For beta downloads, we also collect the email you submit, the requested platform (currently Windows), the time of your request, and whether the secure file download started. We do not verify ownership of the submitted email. We use this data to deliver beta access, prevent abuse, troubleshoot downloads, understand product demand, and communicate about your beta request.
A beta download request does not enroll your email in marketing. Marketing messages require a separate verified opt-in that is not currently offered on the download page.
6. Cookies and local browser cache
GGSight uses a first-party cookie named ggsight_download_agreement and a local browser cache key named ggsight-download-agreement-2026-08-10 to remember that this browser accepted the download Terms of Service and Stream Sniping Policy and completed the age and privacy confirmations.
This cookie/cache stores the policy version and acceptance time. It does not store gamer tags, gameplay data, screenshots, lookup results, real names, contact details, or advertising identifiers. It expires after 180 days or earlier if you clear browser data.
Each authorized download also creates a server-side acceptance receipt containing a random receipt ID, acceptance time, policy version, operating-system choice, coarse country code, and keyed one-way hashes of the request IP address and user agent. The beta lead record stores the submitted, ownership-unverified email separately, keyed by a one-way internal identifier, along with request and download-start counts. GGSight does not store the raw IP address or raw user agent in this receipt. These records are used to enforce the agreement, issue a short-lived download link, prevent abuse, support compliance records, and understand beta demand. They are automatically deleted after 180 days from the last request.
GGSight does not currently use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies on the public website.
7. Telemetry and screenshots
Telemetry, analytics, crash reports, and debug screenshots are opt-in for the desktop app. Automatic crash diagnostics redact credential fields, account email, blocklist entries, source-window titles, local debug paths, user-home paths, email-like text, and common token formats before preview or submission. A description or contact email you enter into the crash dialog is included only when you choose to save or send that report. Do not send debug screenshots to support unless you are comfortable sharing the visible names and UI content in that screenshot.
8. How we use data
We use data to operate GGSight, run local OCR workflows, return optional public lookup results, reduce duplicate lookups, improve parser accuracy, maintain verified gamer-tag profiles, respond to support requests, secure downloads, prevent abuse, enforce terms, and comply with legal obligations.
9. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data with service providers that host the website, deliver downloads, operate optional account features, provide support tooling, or help secure the service. GGSight does not currently use a payment processor or collect payment-card or billing information.
We may disclose data if required by valid legal process, to protect users or the service, to investigate abuse, to enforce terms, or as part of a business transaction such as merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.
10. Public-source results
GGSight may link to or summarize public third-party sources. Those sources are controlled by third parties, and their own privacy policies and terms apply. Public profile data can be wrong, stale, impersonated, or removed.
11. Retention and deletion
Local desktop encounter history remains on your device until you delete players, matches, all history, backups, or the app data folder. Public provider lookup results are deleted or refreshed within 24 hours; live-game context expires after five minutes. Provider data may be deleted sooner when a provider or affected user requests deletion or an integration ends.
For hosted account features, we will retain data only as long as needed for the feature, legal compliance, security, dispute resolution, abuse prevention, or backup recovery, unless a longer period is required by law.
12. User controls
GGSight includes controls to disable lookup, use local-only mode, blocklist usernames, mark wrong matches, suppress profiles, delete players, delete matches, delete all history, and export or import backups.
If you contact support about privacy, include enough information for us to locate the relevant account or request, but do not send unnecessary screenshots, credentials, or private information.
13. Children and minors
The current download beta is for adults age 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly allow a child to submit an email or download the beta. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact support so it can be deleted.
14. Security
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate for an MVP beta, but no system can be guaranteed secure. Keep your operating system updated, download only from official links, avoid sharing debug files publicly, and report suspected vulnerabilities through the contact page.
15. Privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know or access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of personal data handled by hosted account or website systems, and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. The current local desktop history is primarily controlled from your own device.
GGSight does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, this policy should be updated and required opt-out controls should be provided.
Submit a request through the contact page or email support@ggsight.lol with the subject Privacy Request. We may verify the request before acting. If a request is denied, reply with the subject Privacy Appeal. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. Authorized agents may submit requests where the law permits.
Players and creators may also request correction, suppression, or deletion of an inaccurate public-profile association. Include the gamer tag, source link, and enough non-sensitive information to locate the result; never send a password, API key, identity document, or private account credential unless support specifically provides a lawful secure process.
16. Changes
We may update this policy as GGSight changes. Material changes will be posted here and, where required, presented for affirmative acknowledgment. This policy must be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before broader public launch.
