GGSight pauses when the selected game or preview is not active. That keeps it from reading chat, browsers, or another desktop app.
Set up a clean scan in minutes.
GGSight reads only visible text from the game window you select. It keeps OCR fast, checks supported public sources in the background, and only adds a gamer tag to the live feed when a real source match is returned.
Similar handles such as LarryTTV, search results, creator claims, and tags with no public match stay out of the live feed.
Start with the game window
Open GGSight before or during a match, choose your game, and leave the source set to Window unless you are scanning a capture-card or Remote Play preview.
Select the visible OBS, capture-card, PS Remote Play, or Xbox Remote Play window. GGSight does not install on the console.
Use tight name and result zones
Presets are the quickest starting point. Every included game profile arms two name-bearing zones and one center match-result banner. The primary feed uses the base interval; secondary feeds and match-state banners run less often to control CPU use. These presets still require a screenshot test and may need adjustment for your HUD, resolution, or capture layout. Keep the game window visible, then press Start scan.
- Use the preset first. Draw a custom zone only when the game's layout is shifted.
- Keep the roster and feed zones around names, not the entire HUD. The result zone should cover only the center Victory, Defeat, Summary, or placement banner.
- Use a screenshot test before live play when a feed is blurry, scaled, or covered by a capture overlay.
Know where a gamer tag was found
OCR detection and public-profile confirmation are separate. The capture loop stays fast while GGSight checks configured sources in the background. Explicit TTV or Twitch tags check Twitch, YT or YouTube tags check YouTube, and KICK tags check Kick. Unmarked tags remain eligible for every configured source. Only source-confirmed matches enter the live feed.
In Live Mode, GGSight can say Found on Twitch or another source label. After repeated match-end evidence confirms post-match, the bottom-right alert queues each matched gamer tag with its trusted direct profile buttons.
Choose the alerts you want
Open Alert setup and use the Desktop alerts tab to enable bottom-right live alerts and sound. GGSight sends an alert only after the same source-confirmed rule used by the live feed is met.
Desktop alerts work without Discord and appear in the bottom-right corner during live play. After a visible post-match state, exact-handle Twitch, Kick, and YouTube results can expose trusted profile buttons; an owner-connected TikTok link can appear as review-only. Use Wrong profile to remove a mistaken association from scoring and future alerts. Duplicate cooldowns keep the same gamer tag from repeating.
Discord is optional. Use the Discord (optional) tab or the Discord button in the desktop app, add a private channel webhook, and press Send Discord test. Live alerts and Discord alerts omit public profile links.
Fix the signal, not the result
When something looks wrong, adjust the capture conditions before loosening the scanner. The goal is fast, real gamer tags with a clear public source, not a long list of guesses.
