FAQ

Screen-only, desktop-first.

Common questions about what GGSight does, what it avoids, and why the product ships as a desktop app.

Why is GGSight not browser-only?

A website cannot continuously scan a user's game screen or capture selected regions while they play. The desktop app handles capture, OCR, scan zones, notifications, local storage, and public lookup logic.

Does GGSight read game memory?

No. GGSight only analyzes visible screen pixels from user-selected zones.

Does GGSight inject an overlay?

No. Alerts are desktop notifications only.

Do I need an account?

No account is required for first use. Account prompts should only appear later for cloud sync, backup, subscriptions, paid features, or multi-device history.

Does console mode install on PS5 or Xbox?

No. Console users run GGSight on PC and scan a visible capture card, OBS, PS Remote Play, or Xbox Remote Play window.

Is billing implemented?

No. The MVP includes pricing UI only. Billing, license keys, subscriptions, and account portals are later-phase backend features.
